Last updated: 8 July 2026
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using BizClear, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
These terms are provided as a starting point and should be reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before public launch. They do not constitute legal advice.
The role of BizClear
BizClear is a business-to-business marketplace that connects businesses wishing to sell or transfer reusable business assets. BizClear provides the platform only. In particular:
- BizClear does not own, hold or take possession of any listed item.
- BizClear is not the buyer or the seller in any transaction and is not a party to your transfer agreements.
- BizClear does not inspect every listed item.
- BizClear does not guarantee listings, sellers, buyers, or the condition, suitability or legality of any asset, and does not guarantee that any transaction will be completed.
Any transfer takes place directly between the participating businesses on terms they agree between themselves. BizClear’s Digital Business Transfer Agreement is provided to record that transfer.
Your account
- You must provide accurate, current information when registering.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
- Businesses must be legitimately registered or trading; verification may be required for a Verified badge.
Your responsibilities as a seller
When you list an asset on BizClear, you confirm that:
- You have the authority to list the asset on behalf of your business.
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- The asset belongs to your business, or you have permission to sell or transfer it.
- If you list an asset as Free to Collect, the asset is suitable for resale or continued business use and is not being offered as waste.
- You will comply with all applicable laws, including any waste transfer and environmental obligations relevant to the asset you list.
Your responsibilities as a buyer
Before agreeing to any transfer, you are encouraged to:
- Review listings carefully and read the description, condition and any notes.
- Ask the seller questions before agreeing to a transfer.
- Satisfy yourself that the asset is suitable for your intended use.
- Inspect items where appropriate before collection.
After collection, responsibility for the asset, including transport, storage and lawful use, passes to you.
Listings and transactions
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings and for describing items honestly.
- BizClear facilitates connections between businesses but is not a party to your transfer agreements.
- The Digital Business Transfer Agreement records the terms you and the other business agree between yourselves. Whether it is legally binding depends on the circumstances and the parties’ intentions.
- Where an item is shown as approved or published on BizClear, this reflects listing on the platform only and does not mean BizClear has inspected or approved the individual item, unless expressly stated.
Business Verification
A Verified Business badge confirms that a business has completed BizClear’s verification process. It is not a government certification, legal endorsement, or a guarantee of a business’s legitimacy, quality, financial standing or future conduct. You should still carry out your own checks before agreeing a transfer. Full details are in our Business Verification Policy.
VAT and pricing
- Prices are entered by sellers. BizClear does not calculate VAT automatically and does not provide tax advice.
- Sellers can record their VAT status on their Company Profile. Where applicable, you are responsible for stating whether prices include or exclude VAT.
- You are responsible for any VAT or other tax obligations arising from your transactions.
Acceptable use
You agree to use BizClear lawfully and respectfully. Prohibited conduct is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Limitation of liability
BizClear is provided on a reasonable endeavours basis. To the extent permitted by law, BizClear is not liable for the outcome of transactions between businesses, the accuracy of listings, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
